Having dark underarms is normal.

Kylie Padilla, a Filipina actress, posted a photo to Instagram showing her new Oppo phone. However, netizens didn’t quite notice the phone, and noticed something else instead—her dark underarms.

The photo spread on the internet like wildfire, with netizens bashing the young actress for her dark underarms. Hundreds of netizens bashed her for that, and she decided it was time to answer back to those bashers.

Kylie is known in the Philippines for her porcelain-white skin and her one photo showing dark underarms fired up many haters. Previous to her viral photo, Kylie made headlines after she announced her pregnancy. With this at hand, many of her fans claim that skin darkening is a normal phase of pregnancy and even celebrities who are famous for their flawless skin are no exception to this condition.

It all started with a few comments by bashers. A netizen with the handle name @jovie1732 wrote: “Ang itim ng kili kili.” [Her underarms are so dark.]

With another post, Kylie Padilla openly addressed comments of bashers accusing her of having dark armpits: “There is such a thing as lighting in pictures and filters. Maybe I just dont care if my underarm looks dark in this picture. There are more important things in life.”

She added: “Kahit pa maitim ibig sabihin ba nun pangit na?

“Be proud of your skin color! diba guys? Self love para spread love.”

[Does dark underarms mean you’re ugly? Be proud of your skin color! Right guys? Self love to spread love.]

Though there were a lot of negative comments, Kylie’s fans defended her, claiming it was just part of her pregnancy.

She violently attacked the employees for no reason at all.

An Indian woman went crazy on the employees at an Owndays glasses shop in Tiong Bahru Plaza in Singapore, and the video has gone viral since. She was soon arrested after her violent breakdown.

According to reports, an unnamed female shopper rushed into the said shop to get away from the 45-year-old Indian woman. The aggressive lady followed the woman into the store and began yelling at and hitting employees of the shop, exclaiming, “I am done with the Chinese girls. They keep kicking me around in this neighborhood.”

During the altercation, the woman suddenly claims that she had lost her bracelet inside the shop. “Go and find for me my bracelet, go!” she shouts. Confused, the shop attendants ask he what was wrong. Instead of explaining, the woman starting attacking them, hitting them violently for no apparent reason.

The mall security guard finally arrives and the lady continues to rant about the “bloody Chinese girls in this neighborhood.”

When the staff said they would call the police, she dares them to “Call … Go and call the MP!”

Another passerby stepped in to help, but the angry woman wanted to strike him as well. Other members of the public and the security guard tried to intervene when the lady kept attempting to hit the staff.

“Ask this f*cking Chinese girl to stop hitting me in the neighborhood here, you hear me or not?” she yells, when she was clearly the only one throwing punches and shouting racist remarks at the employees.

Owndays released a statement on Facebook, commending the two brave employees. “Our colleagues had been brave and maintained their professionalism despite repeated assaults by the angry lady,” Owndays wrote.

The company has received an outpouring of “heartening messages” from the public and is now seeking legal advice.

Voters in Tasek Gelugor are now asking Shabudin to quit.

Tasek Gelugor Member of Parliament Datuk Shabudin Yahya is now under fire after making an absurd remark regarding rape and child marriage. According to him, rape victims would have better lives if they choose to marry their rapists instead.

He said: “Maybe he repents, or regrets. It is better to have people who regret rather than people who do not regret.

“So in this case, let us not put an assumption that the person will remain bad. (Marriage) can be an exit clause for this problem.”

In addition to that, he also claims that girls aged between 9-12 years old are “physically and spiritually” ready for marriage.

He said: “They reach puberty at the age of nine or 12 and at that time, the physical state of their body is already akin to those 18 years of age.

“For a wife who was raped, if she can marry (the rapist) she would not go through such a bleak future.

“At least she has someone who can become her husband. So, this will be a remedy to social problems.”

Voters in Tasek Gelugor constituency express disgust at their MP’s statements concerning rape and child marriage which had been picked up by the international press.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng called Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahya unfit for office over the latter’s suggestion that rapists be allowed to marry their child victims as a solution to social problems.

Lim Guan Eng said: “Penang people don’t want a monster to become their MP, we don’t want people with no compassion for rape victims to be an MP.

“We are ashamed to have an MP like this from Penang. Even though he’s not in the state government, he is a black stain for Penang.”
