Despite wanting to have children, many couples fail to procreate due to medical conditions and/or problems. While these couples are desperate to have children of their own, a couple from Tennessee decided to sell their 5-month-old baby on Craigslist.
Fortunately, they were stopped in their tracks after undercover agents performed a buy-bust operation. The agents pretended to be interested buyers and told the couple to meet up for the exchange. They were immediately put behind bars with a bond of $150,000 each.
The baby was taken into custody, but his/her future is yet to be determined. Many are hoping that the baby would be adopted into a loving family soon.
Cain and Greer were charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect or endangerment after they posted an ad on Craigslist and offered to sell the baby for $3,000.
